What are Spirulina Tablets

Spirulina is a blue-green algae. The term spirulina is from the Latin word for spiral denoting the physical structure of the organism when it creates swirling, microscopic strands. Spirulina is one of the small number of plant sources of vitamin B12, usually found only in animal tissues. A teaspoon of Spirulina supplies 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and contains more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an comparitive serving of liver.
